Finding the perfect movie to watch in bed can be exhausting and sometimes, you can feel like you’ve spent more time looking for a movie rather than actually watching one (every time we watch Netflix). We would like to start off letting you know, that we do like the first Shrek movie but we love the second one even more! Dreamwork’s Shrek 2, follows Shrek and his Princess Fiona as they are invited to dinner to celebrate their marriage. This PG comedy is perfect for pretty much all ages, with lots of laughs and endless adult humour.
The Help is a multiple Academy Award-winning movie based in 1963 Mississippi during the Civil Rights era. It stars Emma Stone in the role of Eugenia Phelan who decides to write a book detailing the African American maids’ experiences working for white families and the hardships they go through.

This beloved Disney Pixar movie follows the story of Marvin, a timid clownfish traveling the ocean to find his son Nemo, who was taken from the Great Barrier Reef all the way to Sydney. Both Marvin and Nemo face many challenges on their journey and meet an array of different underwater species!
Starting Tom Hanks as Chuck Noland, the movie depicts a FedEx employee stranded on a desolate island after his plane crashed in the South Pacific Ocean. The story follows his journey of survival and the physical and emotional battles, focusing on his long-term girlfriend Kelly Frears (Helen Hunt) and when/if he will ever see her again.
Tom Hanks was nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the 73rd Academy Awards for his outstanding performance.
Universal Picture’s 1996 classic movie Happy Gilmore starting Adam Sandler. Sandler plays an successful hockey player who has to make some quick cash so his grandmother’s house doesn’t get repossessed by the IRS. By chance, he finds a new talent in golf, but he finds it difficult to keep his “hockey rage” off the golf course.
Planes, Trains and Automobiles
Steve Martin plays Neil Page who is traveling home for Thanksgiving with his family, when a series of unfortunate events occur, leaving him traveling home alongside an obnoxious shower curtain ring salesman.
This hilarious classic movie is a perfect movie to watch in bed, filled with endless drama and comedy.
A young boy makes a wish on Christmas morning that his teddy bear could talk. Little did he expect… it came true. The story jumps to 20 years later, where both John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg) and Ted (Seth Macfarlane) are all grown up.
John has to make the decision to either kick out Ted or keep his relationship with his girlfriend (Mila Kunis). This is an extremely hilarious movie, one that we would highly recommend.
Charlie & The Chocolate Factory
If you haven’t already seen or read the story of Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, the story was written by Roald Dahl in 1964. The narrative follows a young boy named Charlie who wins a ticket to visit Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. Charlie, his Grandfather and the other winners enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the factory, and encounter the Oompa Loompas who help Wonka operate the factory.
Daniel Hiller (Robin Williams), is getting a divorce from his wife (Sally Field). Daniel is on the hunt for a job, but he soon learns that he’s only good at two things: funny voices and looking after his children. So he finds away to combine both of his skills to create and impersonate a fictional housewife character named Mrs. Doubtfire.
